Romy was born and bred in Switzerland with a Swiss father and an Indian mother. This cross-cultural richness prompted her quite naturally towards travel and, after finishing her business studies degree, she roamed the world first before settling in Cape Town in 1998 where she met her husband Bruce.
Over the last two decades – through sheer persistence and passion – she is also a director in a well-known photographic lighting and digital rental company in South Africa, which services the stills and film production industry and runs a successful photographic studio on the premises as well.
Romy’s interests are her family, sport, travel, nature, property and her two sons who even convinced her to take up surfing a few years back – which she has come to thoroughly enjoy!
Cara grew up in Cape Town and qualified in Public Relations before working and travelling abroad.
After returning to the Mother City, Cara worked in stills production before running operations at a home automation company for three years. Having joined Location Gallery in 2014, Cara’s passion in our team, utilising her people skills, integrity & dedication to run the day-to-day of our agency, shines through season after season.
In her role as General Manager, she enjoys working with both producers and home owners alike, always ensuring that each aspect runs smoothly from start to finish.
Originally from Jo’burg, Theresa moved to Cape Town almost 3 decades ago to pursue a lengthy career of educating South Africa’s youth.
Eventually leaving behind her a wealth of cherished memories as an educator, Theresa decided to pursue her keen interest in the more creative fields – which, serendipitously, lead her to Romy.
The intervening years have seen Theresa in the position of photo studio manager and assistant co-ordinator, learning very quickly on the job. Focused specifically on advertising and marketing, Theresa discovered that she not only had the patience of a saint (see educator experience) but also an obsession with detail, a meticulous work ethic and a real talent for the artistic side of the background which she now brings into her work at Location Gallery.
